GLOBAL LEGACY: AN EMERGING WINESKIN

When we launched Global Legacy at the May 2006 Leaders Advance we were very clear that this would be an emerging wineskin. This latest update introduces our most recent thoughts and plans.

The Lord spoke to us the other day and warned us about “numbering our people” as David did when he numbered Israel. We felt strongly that the Lord did not want us to count those who are with us. This often leads to pride and arrogance. It is our intent to purposefully give our strength to others through relationships, resources and shared events and missions.

- We are therefore steering away from a formal application and membership approach.

The Apostolic Model in the New Testament has serving at its heart and we desire to lead by serving. Serving through RELATIONSHIPS, increasing availability of our RESOURCES and sounding the RALLYING cry at conferences and through ministry and mission opportunities.

We have been given many wonderful and mutually beneficial relationships over these recent years, in which all aspects of family relationships are represented. These function at every level and include those where we have authority, influence or informal relationship.

- It is our desire to steward, nurture and treasure each of these relationships in order that they’ll grow resulting in each of us fulfilling our God given destiny in a way that knows nothing but increase.

We will create a communication, resourcing and relational structure which will facilitate and encourage deeper relationships with one another and with us. It will also focus on mission opportunities, schools and conferences where we can grow and serve together. This structure will look very much like a database or a grid. There will be order within it and lines of authority and accountability developed through relationship and honor rather than just structure. We will increase our influence and authority where it is invited and we feel called to.

We took this approach to building this network in response to a question that Bill asked, “How far can we go through a government of honor?”

Historically we have tended to see government from an earthly perspective but we want to discover , learn and build from heavens vantage point. We know that for some these early days may seem a little abstract but we are seeking a city that has foundations and whose builder and maker is God!
- We are building Kingdom Government through our desires and affections, holding honor at the center and celebrating greater revelation, greater works and increase.

We will take the things we have already been doing for years and become more strategic and intentional about them. Therefore in the coming months we will:
- Communicate more information about our resources, schools and events.
- Create two-way communication with you so we can get to know each other better.
- Gather accurate contact information from you and build an interactive web site.
- Develop tools to more efficiently assess your needs so we can better focus our resources to assist you in reaching your destiny.

It is our goal to structure our resources, develop leaders, and add strength to people not just people to our strength.
