Write down the vision……that [you] may run…

“ Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.” (Hab. 2:2)

Those of you who know me know that I am HUGE on time management. I feel that one of the ways that we dishonor the Lord the most is by not managing our time. God has given us this moment as a gift. That is why he has called it the “present” moment.

I schedule everything! (No kidding) and I like the focus it brings to my day. I feel that by writing down the plan for the day (The vision) I can then run with it. I find that if it is not recorded, then it does not get done. On my computer I keep my schedule, and have a timer set to countdown every 15 minutes (It sounds an alarm - a trumpet sound of a charging cavalry brigade!) When the 15 min time slot is up I check how I am doing as regards my schedule.

This is what my schedule now looks like - It is pretty scary!!! Its not even all of it - just what fitted nicely on the page.

By the way, I use Google Calendar as my schedule. It is great - highly recommended. Please drop a comment and let me know what you think of this - am I off my rocker?
