One of my favourite teachers, Pastor Bill Johnson of Bethel Church, Redding California, teaches that one of the secrets of strengthening yourself in the Lord is to treasure God’s spoken word over your life. When we feast on what God has done, is doing, has spoken or is speaking, we build faith and enourage our own hearts. When we focus on what God has not done, we open ourselves up to a spirit of offence that legitimzes our unbelief. This is a huge deal!
In order to capture the essence of this teaching, I have compiled another blog as an attempt to capture the heart of God as He speaks His Rhema word to me during my times of communion with Him. It is a prayer journal of sorts to record God’s spoken word to me, as well as encouraging testimonies, so that I may feast on what He says and treasure His words over my life and His deeds in it. I hope this brings encouragement to others as well.
The blog is entitled “Rhema - the spoken word to me” and can be found at http://rhema.wordpress.com/
