Churches meet in historic UNITED meeting in Gibraltar
February 13, 2007 by John Baw
Friday evening saw a united meeting take place between six local churches in Gibraltar. The Methodist church hosted the event that was attended by around 160. There was a very good anointing on the worship led by the Methodist worship team. I must backtrack a little and explain that these are not your traditional Methodists. Most of the core leadership team are charismatic, although there are members within the church that are not.
Tomas, a Mexican brother with a marketplace ministry in the south of Spain gave a powerful word on revival in the marketplace, and I translated into Spanish. The event was followed by lots of food and excellent fellowship. The Methodist church must be congratulated and thanked for putting in so much hard work – you guys rock!
This was truly an historic event in Gibraltar – a joint meeting between various fellowships had never taken place, and we feel that we are breaking new ground in the area of honouring other churches, and partnering with other churches for the harvest in Gibraltar, in southern Spain, and beyond.

We meet-up once a month to pray, and hang-out, and discuss matters of interest like having united meetings of the different churches. There is a precious unity emerging from all of this. We have worked hard at honouring each other, and blessing each other, and the first shoots of green life are appearing out of a dark earth. There is a good unity emerging in the midst of our diversity. This, my friends, was impossible to think of only two years ago. This is so God! Come on! [...]
