Living Waters UNPLUGGED!

I had a hard start on Sunday. I was setting up for the service when my worship leader calls at the last minute and says that something had come up and he was not going to be able to make the service! I put-in an emergency call to the only other person in our group that plays an instrument (Our backup-worship leader!!!) who was given an uber shock with the news that he was leading worship this morning – but, he was not coming-in until a little later. So, this made for an awkward “a capella” start to the praise service.

In any event our backup guy came-in and took over where my meagre efforts left, and did a super job of it to boot! I had a really good flow and anointing in the word, and the people were really drawing from me and getting all fired up….. that is until a certain sister, God bless her little cotton socks, decided that it was time to pack-up and unplugged me!!!!! That, my friends, was a first for me. In the middle of giving the week’s announcements I went mic-less! Not one to give-in to the gravity of the situation, I went on miming my way through the announcements, much to the horror of this precious sister, and to the woots, cheers, and roaring laughter of the rest.

Folks, it was a blast! A bunch of us then went to eat-out and then stayed at some other place for coffee until late afternoon. Sweet.
