Global Legacy conference call with Bill Johnson

I managed to connect yesterday via Skype to Bethel Church in Redding, CA, for a Global Legacy conference call with Bill Johnson. In these monthly sessions, Bethel will usually have one of their leaders address the listeners via a conference call with several hundred participants. This month we had Bill Johnson address us - Awesome!
- Bill shared on our aim in this move being a true Reformation.
- This starts with transformation. We need to constantly ask ourselves “what do I want my city to look like?” “What do I want my church / family / workplace to look like?”
- One key issue within this is that we will reproduce what we carry within.
- The corollary to this is that I cannot release something that I do not have.
- Acts 3- Peter, with John, told the paralytic, “What I do have I give you”
- We cannot give cheques we do not have funds for
- We need a greater revelation of what Jesus has deposited in the account
- Partnership with heavenly realities causes a release in heaven and an invasion.
- We draw the heavenly through our speech
- Our words regarding how wonderful Jesus is draws the angelic into the room
- They are fascinated with Jesus
- Angels enforce God’s assignment and the voice of His word (Psalm 103) – the voice of His word is what He speaks to you
- We are God’s delegated authority
- We declare what God speaks to our hearts – this attracts the angelic as we align ourselves with heavenly realities.
- We have been commissioned to change the world through speech
- John 6 – Jesus’ words were spirit and life.
- As He spoke His words became spirit
- Rom 14 – the Kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit
- John 6 – Jesus’ words were spirit and life.
- Fatherhood delights in the success of the children – the children going places where the Father would not have an opportunity to
- Creating an empowering culture around us – in our churches etc
- Culture of honour
- Creating an empowering culture around us – in our churches etc
- Deal with internal issues first – stress, anxiety, jealousy, fear
- Of all people, pastors should be the ones with the shortest accounts
- They will reproduce what they carry within
- We will transfer what is inside into our atmosphere.
- Of all people, pastors should be the ones with the shortest accounts

Added on August 22nd, 2007 at 1:33 pmI was kind of blown away by that whole “When Jesus spoke, His words became Spirit” thing.
I wanted to hang up the phone and just wrap my mind around it.

Yep he plain rocked didn’ he? He sort-of tosses all these morsels at you without the slightest consideration that you may be trying to still DIGEST what he said ten minutes ago!

Added on August 25th, 2007 at 3:13 pmHey, I just picked up this comment.
Yeah I normally listen to the recorded playback of the calls but I caught this one live.
I started telling people, “Yeah, I was on the phone this morning with Bill Johnson and he said…” or, “That reminds me of what Bill Johnson said on the phone the other day.” lol
