Black Pentecostal Discussion

In Black Pentecostal Discussion, my friend Carl (now ubber-on-fire-church-planter) of The Mission, South Florida fame posts an interesting video that highlights Pentecostalism as high-octane Evangelical faith on steroids in the context of the poor. It is an enlightening video. I do not know whether I agree with the speaker’s position that the MOST important thing in Pentecostalism is the poor, and that voting patterns would be affected by candidate’s position regarding helping the poor, as I tend to believe that the paramount issue in Pentecostalism is the Presence of Jesus being manifest. Helping the poor, in my opinion, is a FRUIT that comes from His Presence. Hop over to the Revival Blog and check it out join the debate!
