Seeing you a mile away

The cry of the hour is for an authentic expression of faith. People hardly reject God, they reject the wrapping. I have not come across one person who has ever rejected God - I don’t know anyone who has rejected Love, Peace, Joy, Justice, Righteousness - indeed I dare say that God is the deep cry in many hearts as I write this. I know many however that reject the religious baggage that comes associated with God, they reject the “High-horse” attitude among many of His followers, and they reject the notion that “religion” will answer their questions - they see religion as answering questions that they are not asking.
The need is to adopt the low-road rather than the high-horse - exploring faith, life, and the supernatural realities truths and power of God incarnationally within a broken and needy culture. This morning I have been arrested by a scripture:
And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God. - Revelation 15:2
This scripture depicts a company of overcomers, victorious ones, having victory over evil and standing before God. These champions are depicted as standing on a sea of glass, a sea of glass mingled with fire. Glass speaks of transparency, and fire is symbolic in scripture of purity of heart. These awesome victorious warriors stand on purity and transparency. Their foundation rests on having a pure heart and transparent motives - the verse then continues saying that they have “the harps of God”, meaning that they sing a pure worship that comes from the throne of God. That worship, or song, is the song of Moses and of the Lamb - it is the Redemption song, that will have power and authority to open prison doors and release captives, captives that are bound in prison chains of hopelessness, disease, depression, bitterness, unforgiveness, well…you get the picture.
How transparent are you? Do you stand on a sea of glass? Do people see you coming a mile away? Is purity of heart your foundation?
Power rests on purity. Chew on that for a while.
