Yea, it's a great country for sure. As a child of the previously "segregated South" I am ecstatic to see a man of color at the helm. Although I don't agree with Mr. Obama's unhindered access to abortion at any stage of pregnancy or that he doesn't realize that socialism doesn't work out in real life (just on paper). I am thrilled at the possibilities for God to move here. Please pray for heaven to invade the hearts of the Obama household & administration. No man, nor nation, is an island; we all effect each other. Let's pray for the glory of the Lord to be revealed in ALL nations in '09. Why not NOW? Why not US? blessings from across the pond.
Hey John & Q

Yes - our chances to help each other get humbler were MULTITUDINOUS!!! But - the great thing is that we love each other more now than ever.

We did love the time with you all - and are praying that the bigger LightHouse will be planted on that southern shoreline.

So glad we could spend time together - for us, GIB was a highlight of the trip - and we look forward to a reconnection soon, and a trip into northern Africa together!

BLESSINGS TO ALL OUR GIBRALTAREANS!

My mom's an artist and paints propheticly each week a picture which you can watch form on youtube. I thought you might be interested seeing as you were interested in a renaissance in the arts and thought this might apeal...

Dear Ryan thank God for your life. i watched your interviw with Sid Roth on SKy tv. i was a bit sceptical when you said every body who desired for the supernatural can experience it bcos for years i have desired it but i have not seen much. but that night after watching the program i had a dream and it was as if the end had come and i was being lifted up then i saw the face of Jesus like the lion of Judah flash in the sky. it was so real. please pray for me i want to have more encounters with God.

John, I don't know which adoption agency you are quoting, but there are many that are not private & will take ANY baby referred for adoption. I doubt seriously that America is any more "racist" than any other country. One thing for sure....there's no "melting pot" of races like this one & the pot has been very, very good to those who come. Right now we have over 12 million illegal aliens who are not treated as criminals. Most are not "white" & receive the same overall pubic services, medical & educational. White babies ARE in more demand simply because "whites" adopt at a higher rate than "non-whites". 80% of black babies are now illegitimate with Hispanic babies racing to catch up to that sad statistic. Last year HALF of all mothers under 30 were single (combined races) . One sad fact here is that often black babies are denied adoption by agencies because the parents are caucasian & they don't want the child to lose their "heritage"....whatever the heck that means. The abortion rate in this country is as appalling as it is in Europe. In fact Europe's birthrate is not keeping up, in general, with the death rate so countries are encouraging immigration to keep up the workforce. The sad fact is that people don't seem to be as interested in marrying & being parents as they used to. Adolescent thinking seems to last well into the 30s now psychologists say & most adolescents don't want a baby to interfere with their "lifestyle". The father is missing in way too many "families" & that is the shame of it all. By the way, I have good friends I minister with that have adopted a black son (they're white) . I know many multi-racial families here. It's really nothing unusual in America. Thought I'd tell you while you were railing on us. Color isn't the problem; LACK OF FATHERS is the problem. Now MY rant is over. blessings! Amelia

I'm not going to anything about it. Its an incredible reflection not only of the adoption industry, but the demand for the children in America. Adoption agencies aren't taking in more children of color ( any non-white color ) because white infants are in the greatest demand. White infants are what goes for most money. The adoption industry is a multi billion dollar a year inudstry. Its a business, and in any successful business, products that are in the greatest demand, get sold for the most. Well, prospective adoptive parents of America are demanding newborn white infants, most likely because infertile pap's of america are most commonly white.

I completely agree with you that adoptees are commodities. We have been for decades. White infants are the most expensive, bi-racial are cheaper and black children are the cheapest. This also contributes to the reason there are so many black children left in the foster care system. America is racist. It goes far beyond adoption agencies. Adoption agencies are a reflection of racist America. Their marketing, their propoganda are both a reflection of the research they have done to see what will give them the most business.

The best interests of the child went out the window decades ago.

Good post! I'll be linking to it :)
